Devonia 4ply Fingering
John Arbon Textiles is a traditional British mill based on a very simple concept - a return to old-style textile manufacture by sustainably sourcing raw fibre locally, wherever possible, and converting it into high quality yarns. The mill is situated in the heart of North Devon, and the surrounding Exmoor landscape provides not only local sheep breeds for the yarn, but inspiration for color.
Devonia is special because it is the first blend John Arbon created that was made exclusively using local West County fibre. The blend of local wools lends a springy nature, outstandingly soft hand, and enviable lustre and drape. This 4ply fingering weight yarn is perfect for lightweight garments where you want some drape or swing, like lightweight shawls and cardigans. This is not a superwash (machine washable) yarn. Size is approx 424 yards/ 100g. 50% Exmoor Blueface Wool. 30% Blueface Leicester Wool, 20% Wensleydale Wool. See product page for more details. Fingering Weight.
