Manos Del Uruguay, the Hands of Uruguay, is a non profit organization which assembles women in cooperatives scattered throughout the countryside of Uruguay. The aim of this World Fair Trade Organization is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural women.Alegria ("joy" in Spanish) is a wonderfully soft sock yarn handpainted to create a celebration of color in every skein.  No two skeins are alike, and the picture shown is a representation of how your special skein could look, with more or less of each color.
