Noro, Yukata 30: Kumagaya
Noro is known for artistic color combos, and one-of-a-kind balls of yarn where each one is different, even within the same colorway. If you want to create an heirloom quality project that stands the test of time, you can't go wrong with Noro of Japan, as they have been creating fiber art for decades.
With Noro Yukata, you get a huge 200 gram ball that the studio lovingly calls "dragon eggs." A Yukata in Japanese is a "bath dress" or "bathing robe", a lighter and everyday variant of a kimono that is worn often at summer festivals with fireworks. Like its namesake, this yarn is a lightweight silk/wool/poly blend and knit up in a fingering to sport weight. The colors are truly exquisite and photos barely do it justice.
