Zephyr Sock
Fleece Artist has been dyeing yarn for over 40 years in their Nova Scotia studio, and SSYC has offered it for nearly 20 years of that -they were the first yarn we imported. So it's no surprise that Fleece Artist would develop a heck of a yarny surprise for us and offer it at a wonderful price to help us celebrate our 19th anniversary. Zephyr is a squishy, fine merino that's on the heavier side of fingering weight.
This yarn knits up just a tad heavier than a typical fingering weight, between fingering and sport. The skein is 25% larger than a typical skein, so you'll have plenty for a pair of squishy socks. And the super fine merino is an even higher quality than typical merino used in hand dyed yarns, which makes it ideal for sweaters and shawls too. It's a standout yarn, not to be missed.
